Laser hair removal uses concentrated light energy to permanently reduce unwanted hair. The laser is absorbed by melanin (pigment) in the hair follicle, converts to heat, and disables the follicle so the hair stops growing back — all while leaving the surrounding skin unharmed.
The laser only affects hairs in their active growth phase (anagen), and just 20–30% of your hair is in that phase at any moment. That is why every treatment plan is a series of sessions: each visit catches a new wave of follicles as they become active.
After a full course, most patients keep an 85–90% permanent reduction. Whatever grows back is typically finer, lighter, and easy to manage with an occasional touch-up.
